MEAL PLANNING
You can plan your meals in advance or you can sit down with the Chef the day of your arrival to fine tune your menus for your stay. If there’s a particular meal you’d like, or if you have food allergies or preferences (religious & otherwise), please discuss this with her. Below is the menu for the villa. Please indicate any allergies or preferences before arrival. Please remember that groceries, delivery of groceries & gratuities are extra and to be paid in cash to the Chef or our villa manager Masha. See below for more information.
CHEF SERVICES & HOURS, GROCERIES & GRATUITIES
If it’s not the Chef’s day off on your departure day, she will only prepare you breakfast. Unfortunately, she cannot prepare lunches or snacks for your flight. Most guests prepare their food for their flight the night before. Please remember check out is at 11AM so please allow time to eat, pack & prepare any food for your flight.
GROCERIES
Guests are responsible for the cost of groceries, & delivery of groceries. (Grocery delivery is minimal).It is hard to give a budget for your menu choices until it is confirmed with the Chef. The cost of groceries will be solely based on your choices. If you choose surf and turf it will be higher than a vegetarian Mexican meal. Most of the groceries costs are equal to the costs you’ll find at home.
GRATUITIES
Due to the hands-on level of service that the staff offer, a gratuity to the staff is highly appreciated. The staff offer 5 star service to ensure our guests have a memorable stay! (At your disrection of course & if you wish, Masha can guide you on this!) Thank you for your kindness! Staff includes: Chef Juliana, Masha our villa manager, & Maribella are wonderful housekeeper! Masha can also guide you on gratuity if you wish.
Chef Hours: 9:00 AM arrival – 3:00 PM departure. Chef offers her services 6 days per week. (Chef has one day off per week.)
*If the Chef is asked to arrive earlier or leave later, there will be an extra charge issued by our villa manager.
*Note: On the day of your departure, Chef will only prepare breakfast for you, & only if this is not her day off. Check out is 11am so please keep that in mind for dining so you are ready to leave on time. Unfortunately the Chef cannot prepare lunches or snacks the day of depature for your flight; however, you are more than welcome to use the kitchen before or after Chef is done preparing your breakfast. Many guests make their lunches & snacks the night before for the flight.
Services Included: Breakfast & lunch are served 6 days a week with the exception of lunch on the day of your departure.
Breakfast Hours: Served between 10AM.
Lunch Hours: Served around 2pm.
DINNER SERVICE NOT INCLUDED – AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST
If you wish to have Chef prepare dinner, it will be based on her availability. Info is below on her rates. The groceries, delivery of groceries, and gratuity applies plus the Chef service’s rate. The rates are in USD per person. Please keep in mind that Playa del Carmen has an amazing dining scene; we can recommend some restaurants to suit your preferences.
DINNER RATES (Groceries, grocery delivery & gratuity are extra)
Adult:12 years & up: $40 per person
Kids: 5-11: $20
Children: Under 5 is free
Speciality Menu: $50 (items such as surf & turf, lobster, seafood, Mexican specialties, lamb etc.)
